Shengjun Ren, PhD

Shengjun Ren, Ph.D. is a gene & cell therapy scientific leader with entrepreneurship mindset, and over 10-year experiences of adoptive cell therapy for solid and blood cancers & over 20-year oncology experiences. As a key leader, Dr. Ren has been helping startup biotech companies to set up new cell therapy facilities, build and lead diverse and multicultural R&D teams and achieve breakthrough discoveries in gene and armed CAR-T cell therapies since 2015. Prior to his Biotech Industry career journey, Dr. Ren was a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Molecular Oncology & Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Ren did his postdoctoral training in the fields of cancer biology and molecular immunology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute after completing his Ph.D. study at Shanghai Cancer Institute/Shanghai Medical University.
